Armed police were involved late last night in a car chase through Worthing, Lancing and Shoreham.
At its conclusion in Shoreham, officers say one man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle and dangerous driving.
He was also detained on suspicion of driving while drunk or influenced by drugs, and failing to stop when police instructed him to.
