Police were called to Brighton Railway Station early yesterday evening after reports of a fight between a group of boys.

Eyewitnesses say police arrived at the altercation to break it up, whereby a knife was produced.

Witnesses say police pointed a taser at the male and told him to drop it, after which they say several knives were thrown on to the track.

British Transport Police say they arrived alongside Sussex Police just after 8pm and a Stanley knife was recovered from the tracks nearby.

Footage taken at the station, showed four police cars and a van stationed outside.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 612 of 17/05/22.
