Brighton & Hove Pride Announces Diverse Line Up Of LGBTQ+ Artists For Pride At The Ironworks

The Glory. By Chris Jepson

The Cocoa Butter Club, Alfie Ordinary, Lorraine Bowen and Queefy are just a few of the acts announced for this autumn's cultural LGBTQ+ festival at Brighton's Ironworks Studios.

The year-round cultural season of smaller LGBTQ+ events supporting LGBTQ+ artists and the wider community will feature a glittering array of show-stopping cabaret, comedy, theatre, dance, film, activism and politics, live from the Ironworks Studios in central Brighton.

Some of the highlights include:

The Cocoa Butter Club (October 22) with live music, cabaret and performance art.

A free screening of ‘Transfinite’ by Neelu Bhuman (October 21) featuring seven standalone short stories where supernatural trans and queer people from various cultures use their powers to protect, love, teach, fight, and thrive.

On October 29 award-winning drag prince, Alfie Ordinary, presents a Halloween Edition of “Now That’s What I Call Bingo”, a musical bingo game show celebrating the very best Halloween anthems.

Still Breathing: The Conversation (November 6) is a live literature salon event featuring an evening of readings and conversations with the book’s contributors.

The Enby Show (November 13). An all-star variety night popping with creme-de-la-thems. You can expect salacious singing, glamorous group performances, dazzling drag and cackle-worthy comedy.

On November 19, superstar Rhys’Pieces’ QUEEFY will have you laughing, crying and gasping!

Lorraine Bowen’s Polyester Fiesta celebrates REUSE, REWEAR and RECYCLING retro fashion on November 20 in an original, comedy, dance and crimplene catwalk-cabaret show.

For info on these and more, the full programme and tickets are on sale via the Brighton Pride website, with further announcements and December listings to follow soon!

Brighton & Hove Pride has raised almost one million pounds for local LGBTQ+ and HIV charities, community groups, social impact organisations and cultural activities in Brighton & Hove, helping to make a difference to the lives of hundreds of people in our communities.

Pride at the Ironworks makes it possible to continue community fundraising by ensuring that every ticket sold will include a charitable donation to The Brighton Rainbow Fund, supporting local LGBTQ+ organisations and community groups who do essential work all year round.
