Brighton Man Charged With Harassing Women In Street

A Brighton man has been charged in court with harassment and nuisance behaviour towards women in the city and a sexual assault.

Jamie Lee Parsons, 31, unemployed of Lewes Rd, Brighton, had been making sexual and inappropriate comments in Lewes Road to female staff and customers in and near shops, during the period of May to October this year.

He is also also charged with sexually assaulting a woman in Lewes Road in August this year.

He was charged at Brighton Magistrates Court on Monday (Oct 18) and will remain in custody to appear for a plea and directions hearing at Lewes Crown Court on 16 November.
