This year’s Broadwater Carnival and Worthing Fire Station open day raised a record-breaking amount of money for the four chosen charities.
The joint community event, which celebrates its 10th year of running, raised a staggering £12,600 for Andy’s Angels, Keep me Breathing, Worthing Veterans and The Fire Fighters Charity.
The committee have been blown away by the generosity of the sponsors and everyone who attended the day.
Chris Bowles, Station Manager for Worthing, said:
“It was so good to see so many people watching our fire safety demonstrations and enjoying the attractions at the station.
"We are particularly pleased that our early morning S.E.N. session was well attended ensuring our event is fully inclusive.
"The money raised will enable The Fire Fighters Charity to continue to do their vital work.”
