Police have renewed an investigation, after arresting a driver in connection with a collision involving a car in Woodingdean.

They've issued witness appeals as a man, detained on suspicion of drug-driving, remains released under investigation.

Officers were called around 11.15am on Sunday, March 21 to reports of a silver Peugeot driving dangerously on Park Road, in Rottingdean on the coast.

Half an hour later on the same morning, at 11.45am, police attended the site of a collision in Woodingdean, 2.5 miles north of the previous report, involving a silver Peugeot at the junction of Falmer Road and Warren Way.

Officers arrested a man on suspicion of driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs — he has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

A new appeal has been made to witnesses who might have seen a silver Peugeot being driven erratically on Park Road or the surrounding area, or on the way to Woodingdean, on March 21.

Information is being welcomed online, or by calling 101 quoting serial 472 of 21/03.
