East Grinstead: Anti-Social Behaviour Brings More Police Patrols

Police said today (June 26) they'll increase patrols in East Grinstead to combat an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour.

According to the county's officers, a team dedicated to crime prevention is set to step-up its work in the West Sussex town.

They said they're also working alongside officials from Mid Sussex District Council to try to solve the problem centred on East Park, which includes littering, noise nuisance, and scores of small metal cylinders thought to have contained a gas.

Police added they'd also considered ways of limiting access to the car-park and nearby open areas, as a deterrent.
