The Eastbourne "Eye" is staying in place until November 30th.

The Borough Council says it'll remain up "due to popular demand".

Officials added that its revised opening hours will allow travellers on the 35-metre-tall Ferris wheel to see not only daylight panoramas of Eastbourne, but also what they've called "unique" sunset and evening views of the town and surrounding countryside.

From 1 October the Eastbourne Eye will be available for rides on:

  • Fridays at 4pm - 9pm
  • Saturdays at 11am - 9pm
  • Sundays at 11am - 5pm

According to the local authority, tickets cost £5 per ride for adults and £4 for children under 1.4 metres tall, with discounted family tickets available.

Tickets can be purchased onsite at the time of riding.
