Life-Saving Defibrillator Damaged In Sussex Village

Defibrillators can be found in public places and used when someone suffers a cardiac arrest (their heart has stopped beating). If used in time, it can save a person's life.

Police are investigating damage caused to a Defibrillator in a Sussex village.

The device, located at the pavilion in the King George V car park in Allington Road, Newick, was found damaged with the contents of the box strewn across the ground last Saturday morning (October1).

Police are investigating several leads and have ascertained that it happened at around 7.35pm the previous evening. 

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1235 of 01/10.

A police spokesperson said: 

"This is a despicable act, which could endanger lives, and we need anyone who can help to get in touch with us."
