An arrest has been made after reports of a man brandishing a machete in Brighton yesterday (Thursday).
Police said they were called to Brighton Aldridge Community Academy, just before 3pm.
A suspect was arrested in the city on suspicion of affray at noon today (Friday).
He remained in police custody on Friday afternoon.
According to officers, police remained at the school yesterday afternoon to ensure students were able to leave safely.
They were reportedly encouraged to avoid an area of woodland nearby where the man was reported to have been seen.
