A person has been taken to hospital after reports of a casualty on the tracks at Portslade station this morning (Monday).
The British Transport Police said they were called to Portslade station shortly before 11.30am to deal with the incident.
Paramedics also attended and a person was taken to hospital for treatment.
Southern Rail said no trains were able to run between Hove and Worthing this morning and nearby trains were held at stations until emergency services deemed it safe to do so.
Lines reopened at around 1pm.
