Police Investigating After Man Falls From Hove Scaffolding And Dies

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall of a man at a building site in Hove last Thursday (17).

Police said it happened in St Aubyns, at around 12.35pm.

Reports suggest the location was actually at Essex House, St Aubyns Gardens.

They remained at the site overnight to conduct investigations. 

A spokesperson from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said:

"We were called at 12:43 on Thursday 17th September to assist SECAMB with a medical incident on St Auybns Gardens, Hove. 

"Crews from Hove and Brighton attended. 

"One casualty was handed over in to the care of SECAMB."

According to officers, the individual died on Sunday evening (20).

The force's investigation is ongoing, in consultation with the Health and Safety Executive.
