Police Patrols Stepped Up In East Preston After Stabbing

A man and a woman have been arrested and released under investigation after the attack on Sunday (April 4.)

Police were called at 9.45pm after a man was found with a stab wound in Vermont Drive, East Preston.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where he remains in a serious but stable condition. 


It is thought the assault happened in nearby Beechlands Close. Officers attended the scene and after carrying out fast-time enquiries, arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue. 


People can expect to see a continued and increased police presence in the area while the investigation is ongoing. Officers will be carrying out regular patrols in the vicinity to provide reassurance to the community.
