Prizes Up For Grabs For Runners Taking Part In RISE 8K!

Runners who have signed up for the 8k Undercliff Run for Women on October 16, are in with a chance of winning prizes donated by generous local businesses.

Up to 500 runners are expected to take part in the event, which will run between Saltdean and Brighton along the Undercliff path.

“We know times are tough for people so when we started asking local businesses for support, we weren't sure what to expect,” said Ava Harding, Fundraising and Engagement Manager at RISE. “We’ve previously had great support from our community and we’ve been relieved and delighted to find that this year has been no different - they have done us proud!” 

Runners who sign up will be in with a chance of winning all-day passes to the historic Brighton Palace Pier, a £75 Terre a Terre voucher, afternoon tea for two and even a midweek break at Hotel Pelirocco.

Women who are members of Sussex running clubs can also save by signing up between the 14^th and 25^th September, as they will get 10% off all places with a code, provided by their running club. 

Runners who are not able to attend on the 16^th can also join the race virtually, at a different time, by sending in a Strava route and time.

It is anticipated that they will raise around £25,000 which will support vitally important crisis support and emotional care provided by RISE, which helps women and families in our local communities throughout Brighton, Hove and surrounding areas to recover and rebuild their lives.
