Police investigations are continuing into a second night of vandalism in Lewes that saw offenders break a further set of car windows — as officers continue to draw a blank after even worse offending in March.

In the latest trail of destruction, windows were broken overnight in a pair of vehicles parked within 300m of each other, though on different roads.

Police believe the windows were broken some time before the morning of Tuesday April 6th.

But an enquiry is also continuing into a broader night of destruction in Lewes between darkness on Sunday 21st March and the morning of Monday 22nd March.

Dozens of car windows were broken, on what appears to be a route through the town including the centre of Lewes, the Pells area, and the Nevill Estate.

Despite what officers called "extensive house-to-house enquiries" in those areas, they said no witnesses have come forward, nor has any relevant CCTV or doorbell footage been discovered through investigations.

Reports connected to either incident are being welcomed by police.

Information connected to the windows found broken on all dates submitted either online, or by calling 101 and quoting Operation Cuckmere.
