A brand new state-of-the-art sports hall is to be unveiled with an official launch in Worthing on Sunday. South Downs Leisure and Badminton England have teamed up to build the £150,000 facility at Worthing Sports Centre. It's equipped with a new 'PULASTIC' material flooring, which is ideal for sports such as badminton, basketball and handball. Facilities Manager at Worthing Leisure Centre, Mike McGinley, commented: "It's great for the center that we have upgraded the flooring, but most of all it will hugely benefit those using the courts. We are proud to unveil this state-of-the-art flooring and feel players will really see andfeel the difference in the new playing surface." To celebrate the occasion, there will be fun afternoon of badminton coaching sessions, with England player Panuga Riou. There will be a 60 minute Junior Coaching session, 60 minutes of Youth and Senior Club Players Coaching, as well as 30 minutes where any budding badminton players can put their skills to the test as they challenge Panuga to a match. The afternoon is free to attend and begins at 1 O'Clock on Sunday.
