Storrington Hit-And-Run Leaves Man With Life Threatening Injuries

A pedestrain has been left lying in the road with life-threatening injuries following a suspected hit-and-run in Storrington.

It happened on the A238 Manley's Hill just before 11pm last Monday, July 12th.

The victim, a 21-year-old local man, was believed to have been involved in the collision with a vehicle, which left the scene.

Following the collision, the road was closed at the junction of Chantry Lane while the victim was treated by paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service.

He was later taken to The Royal Sussex County Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers traced the suspected vehicle to a 53-year-old local man, who was arrested.

The road was reopened shortly after 6am on Tuesday morning (July 13).
