Sussex Couple Win Retailer Award At London Ceremony

A couple from Sussex have won The Great Gifts Award for ‘Independent Gift Retailer of The Year' held at a London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel.

Maybugs, which opened in 2018, is an independently owned gift and homewares retailer owned by Greg Rose and John Dale.

They currently have two stores, located in Hailsham’s Vicarage Field and Eastbourne’s Terminus Road, with a third opening in Devonshire Road, Bexhill in June 2022.

The criteria for winning the award states that they should show 'excellence in all areas across the retail spectrum over the past year, to include their range of gifts, product knowledge, customer service, shop environment, marketing and display'.

Maybugs came top in the London, South & South East and East Anglia category, up against Bill & Bert’s in Colchester,
Etcetera in Hitchin, Gifts With Love in Middleton-on-Sea, Jumping Bean in Beckenham, East Dulwich and Honor Oak and Little Boat Gifts in Brightlingsea.

Greg Rose, co-owner of Maybugs said:

John Dale added:
