Teenage Girls To Face Court After Attack In Goring

Two teenage girls have been charged and will face a court, in connection with a violent and unprovoked assault in Goring.

According to Sussex Police, two girls aged 13 and 14 were playing in Maybridge Square around 5.50pm on Thursday 14 October when they were approached by two other girls who assaulted them, causing facial injuries.

Officers were called and reportedly swiftly attended, and detained then arrested a 13-year-old local girl

She was held on suspicion of two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Following enquiries, another 13-year-old girl was arrested at a nearby address on suspicion of the same offences.

Both suspects have been charged with assault while one was also charged with a public order offence.

They will appear at court on Thursday 4 November.

Police appealed for information, to be reported either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1064 of 14/10.
