East Sussex County Council said it's household waste recycling sites are very busy this morning (Saturday 10).
People are being warned that there may be long queues at tips across the county, partly due to social distancing measures.
If vehicles are queueing inside the gates, sites may close 45 minutes before the marked closing time.
Staff cannot help unload items, so users are urged to sort their waste before leaving home to save time.
Everyone must keep 2m apart from others and ideally only one person should leave the vehicle.
Small vans are permitted on certain days, with ID.
Our household waste recycling sites (‘tips’) are currently very busy. If you have to visit a site, please be ready to queue. Thank you for being patient and respecting our staff. Plan your visit - https://t.co/A6DuoEt5EL pic.twitter.com/FqdkVFzXhp
