Two Shows At The Royal Hippodrome In Eastbourne To Benefit People In The Ukraine

The Royal Hippodrome Theatre In Eastbourne will be putting one two shows this month with all proceeds going to the Ukraine crisis.

Fundraising will be kicked off on March 24th by Phil Hawkins of Total Productions with his tribute show to Barry Manilow titled Through the Rain.

The theatre says:

"You don't have to be a Manilow fan, you just have to enjoy theatre, enjoy music, enjoy laughter, and want to be a part of people coming together, not for anyone's benefit financially or otherwise, but coming together for others. To do our bit. To be the change we want to see. The more of you that come, the more we raise. Let's fill the venue!!"

"We are proud to be standing together as two businesses to do our tiny bit for the people who are going through so much.

"Total Productions and The Royal Hippodrome stand in proud solidarity with Ukraine".

The initial ticket price will be refunded as tickets now cost £5, all of which will go to the fundraiser.

The second fundraising show, featuring 'TV and West End stars' will be held on Monday, March 28th, costing £10.

Hosted by former Loose Women presenter and local Andrea McLean and Olympic gold medallist Robin Cousins MBE, the show will raise funds for UNICEF’s ground operations in Ukraine.

The show, also at Royal Hippodrome Theatre, will be livestreamed on stream.theatre and will star AJ & Curtis Pritchard; Dalton Harris (The X Factor); Abbie Quinnen; Sally Ann Triplett (Mamma Mia); Chloe Hewitt (Strictly Come Dancing); The Greatest Dancer winner Ellie Fergusson and many more.

The event will also showcase local talent from Eastbourne schools.

UNICEF says they are providing families with clean water and food, sanitation supplies, protection for unaccompanied children, delivering lifesaving supplies, assisting child protection services, providing psychosocial support, information for families seeking refuge and much more.

"UNICEF is determined to stay in Ukraine and help as many families as possible during the conflict."
