World Homeless Day will be marked in Chichester by homeless charity Stonepillow with a Big Sleep Out in the town centre on October 16th.
The charity, with bases in Chichester and Bognor Regis, provides food, showers, clothing and laundry facilities as well as advice and information on housing options, benefits, mental health, substance misuse and a needle exchange.
You can also register for their hostels or supported accommodation.
On October 16th they're inviting people to join them at their "Sleep Out" event in the grounds of Chichester Cathedral, where you can build a shelter and enjoy some family entertainment.
There'll also be an Ecumenical Celebration of Life service at the cathedral, in memory of people lost during the pandemic.
If you can't attend the event, they suggest building a shelter at home and giving up your bed in support and understanding of those who don't have somewhere warm and safe to sleep.
