Worthing Rape: Do You Recognise This Man?

CCTV images have been released of a man police want to speak to in connection with the rape of a woman on Worthing beach early last Sunday morning, July 25th.

It happened near Splash Point childrens' play area between 3 and 4am.

The woman in her twenties is being supported by specially trained officers while the investigation continues.

The man police are seeking is described as white, about 19, 5’7-5’8”, and of medium build with brown hair, a well groomed beard, and possibly a gold tooth. He was wearing a black jacket with a white emblem on the back, blue ripped jeans and white trainers.

The man had been seen in the nearby Bar10 club shortly before the offence.

Detective Constable Charlotte Dawson of the West Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit said: 

"This is an isolated incident for the area. If you know this man, of if you were in that area of Worthing beach early on Sunday morning and saw anything that could help our investigation, please contact us either online or by calling 101, quoting Operation Tile."
