Summer might be winding down, but there's no shortage of things to do across Brighton, Hove and Sussex this September.

From a major new music festival and a Brighton homecoming for Passenger to motorcycles, circus and a free city-wide art trail, here are six events to look forward to this month.

🎪 THE REVEL PUCK CIRCUS

Until Sunday 6 September

📍 Victoria Gardens, Brighton

⏰ Performance times vary

💷 Ticket prices vary

If you missed it during August, there's still time to catch The Revel Puck Circus in Brighton.

The contemporary circus company has transformed Victoria Gardens into a big top for its new production, A Glimmer Daze Gambit.

Expect acrobatics, comedy, mime and storytelling in a show aimed at audiences of all ages.

The Brighton run continues until Sunday 6 September.

🎤 PASSENGER – LIVE AT HOVE PARK

Sunday 6 September

📍 Hove Park

⏰ Doors 2pm / Passenger on stage around 8.15pm

💷 Tickets required

Brighton-born singer-songwriter Passenger returns home for a special outdoor show at Hove Park.

The artist, best known for the worldwide hit Let Her Go, headlines the second day of the Live at Hove Park weekend.

The bill also includes Chris Simmons, BER, John Smith and The Staves, with the event running until around 10pm.

It's a particularly special homecoming for Passenger, who is returning to the city for this one-off show.

🏍️ ACE CAFÉ REUNION – BRIGHTON BURN-UP

Sunday 6 September

📍 Madeira Drive, Brighton

⏰ Ride-out leaves London at 10.30am; Brighton event closes at 5pm

Brighton's seafront is set to be invaded by motorcycles as the annual Ace Café Reunion heads to Madeira Drive.

The traditional Brighton Burn-Up ride-out leaves the Ace Café in London at 10.30am before heading towards Brighton.

The event celebrates the history and culture of motorcycles, café racers and rock 'n' roll, with the Brighton gathering itself free to attend.

The 2026 event marks the 32nd anniversary of the first Ace Café Reunion.

📚 AMAZE STORY TRAIL

From Saturday 12 September

📍 Across Brighton & Hove

⏰ Available throughout the day

💷 FREE

Brighton's streets are being transformed into a giant open-air storybook this autumn.

The Amaze Story Trail launches on 12 September, with more than 30 colourful BookBenches appearing across parks, streets and open spaces around Brighton & Hove.

Each bench has been designed by an artist and is inspired by a different story, creating a free trail that can be explored at your own pace.

The trail continues until 8 November.

🏃 BRIGHTON & HOVE TRIATHLON

Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 September

📍 Hove Lawns and Brighton seafront

⏰ Events take place throughout the weekend

💷 Entry from £32 for youth events / £78 for adult super-sprint

Swim, bike and run your way into September at the Brighton & Hove Triathlon.

The main races take place on Sunday 6 September, with standard, sprint and super-sprint distances available alongside youth races, aquathlon, aquabike, duathlon and relay events.

The standard triathlon features a 1,500m sea swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run, while the super-sprint is considerably shorter.

Even if you're not competing, the event brings plenty of activity to the seafront, with the races taking place on closed-road sections of the course.

🎧 BEYOND BOUNDARIES

Saturday 26 September

📍 Stanmer Park, Brighton

⏰ 12pm–10.30pm

💷 Tickets from around £35

A brand-new festival is heading to Stanmer Park for one of the biggest music events of September.

Gates open at midday, with last entry at 4pm and the festival running until around 10.30pm.
