A Brighton-based award-winning photographer is celebrating a decade in business by giving one lucky Sussex start-up the chance to win a free professional photoshoot.
Xavier Buendia, a Preston Park resident originally from Mexico City, has spent the past 10 years working with over 200 clients – from global names like Unilever and BOXPARK to Sussex favourites including Fatto a Mano, Brighton Gin, and local vineyards.
Specialising in food, portrait, documentary, and architecture photography, his work has won awards and even been exhibited at Brighton Photo Fringe.
Xavier’s creative career began after a major change in direction – swapping life as a globe-trotting sommelier for the camera.
His work has since captured Michelin-starred chefs, independent restaurants, and unique local businesses.
In recent years, he’s expanded into portraiture, personal branding, and mentoring aspiring creatives.
To thank the community that’s supported him, Xavier is offering a free two-hour photoshoot to a Sussex-based independent business or entrepreneur under two years old, with a strong local or environmental purpose.
He said:
“I know how tough it can be to grow a business, especially in the current climate.
"This is my way of helping the next generation of entrepreneurs with images that can really elevate their brand.”
Applications are open until 15 October 2025 at xavierbuendia.com/10yearsinbiz.
