A man who burgled six properties across Eastbourne and attempted to break into another has been jailed for three years.
Steven Stacey, 33, of Southfield in Polegate, carried out the offences between 17th March and 29th April this year.
Sussex Police said Stacey would often knock on doors to establish whether anyone was home before gaining entry through a rear door or window.
He was initially arrested in April over two burglaries and an attempted burglary and was later released on court bail.
Stacey went on to target another four addresses within a week before being arrested again on 30th April.
He was charged with a total of six burglaries, one attempted burglary and possession of a Class B drug.
Stacey pleaded guilty to all charges at Lewes Crown Court in June and was sentenced to three years in prison on 10th August.
