Drink-Driver Who Crashed Car Into House Is Banned

A woman who reversed her car into a house was more than four times the drink-drive limit.

Sarah Adams caused significant structural damage to the property following the incident in Hastings on 9 April.

Police responded to the scene and she was taken into custody, where she underwent a breath test.

It showed she had 148 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath in her system. The legal limit is 35.

Adams, 67, of Pett Road, Pett, pleaded guilty to drink-driving, and at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on 5 August she was banned from driving for 34 months and ordered to pay costs totalling £1,787.

The consequences of drink or drug-driving could include:
