A 20-year-old man is due to appear in court charged with a series of alleged assaults on members of the public in Eastbourne.
Adam Ahmed, of Burton Road, has been charged with seven counts of assault by beating, two counts of common assault and a public order offence.
The charges follow an investigation into a number of incidents reported between February and June, in which victims were allegedly approached by a man who then punched or kicked them before leaving the scene.
Ahmed was arrested in June and later charged with the offences.
He is due to appear before Hastings Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Wednesday 2 September).
Superintendent Ed Faulkner said:
“Sussex Police take reports of violent crime seriously, and we will be relentless in our investigations.
“We understand how important it is for people to feel safe when going about their daily lives and we will do all we can to keep our communities safe."
