This spring, families can explore the wonders of wetlands at WWT Arundel with a brand-new interactive trail inspired by Gozzle, the freshly hatched gosling from the new picture book by Julia Donaldson and Sara Ogilvie.
Running from 20 March to 31 May 2026, the trail brings Gozzle’s story to life through outdoor play and exploration.
Children can hop along stepping stones, search for 15 hidden mini Gozzles, strike fun animal poses, and sniff out food among the reeds as they follow her journey from fuzzy fledgling to grown-up goose.
Award-winning author Julia Donaldson said:
“Sara and I are so happy that our little gosling is going to be brought to life beyond the page.
"Families will love exploring the wetlands while following the Gozzle story trail.”
Illustrator Sara Ogilvie added:
“It will be wonderful to see children making their own discoveries in the wetlands as spring begins.”
Visitors can also take part in Easter and May Half Term activities, including Gozzle’s Vet Check, where children learn how birds are cared for, measure and handle toy geese, and discover the work of WWT vets.
The Gozzle adventure is included with your WWT Arundel ticket and free for WWT members, offering a fun and educational day out for families with young children.
