Major Emergency Response Underway At Shoreham Port

A major emergency response is underway at Shoreham Port, with two air ambulances reportedly landing in the area.
A large number of emergency service vehicles have been seen around the port this afternoon (Tuesday).
Images from the scene show an air ambulance landing near Southwick Lighthouse, while numerous ambulances are also visible along the shoreline.
Witnesses have reported seeing two helicopters arrive in the area.
One resident said his daughter, who lives near the Shoreham seafront, saw a yellow helicopter land close to the lifeboat station, followed by a red and white aircraft.
She also reported seeing "loads" of police, ambulances and fire engines, with emergency vehicle sirens heard in the area.
Police, coastguard, ambulance and fire services have been contacted for further information.
The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed, and emergency services are still dealing with the situation.
