A man has been remanded in custody after a fire at a house in Brighton.

Emergency services were called to Warleigh Road on Saturday, 29 August, after a fire started spreading inside the living area of a property.

Police assisted with road closures while firefighters brought the blaze under control.

No-one was injured.

33-year-old Tinashe Kangira, who has no fixed address, was arrested nearby on suspicion of involvement.

He was charged the following day with arson with intent to endanger life.

Kangira appeared before Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday, 31 August, and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 28 September.

this is a really sad and serious story, and the details of the brighton house fire make for a difficult read. it’s a reminder of how quickly an ordinary situation can turn into something devastating. after reading something this heavy, i’d probably switch off for a while with fruit merge a simple little game that’s easy to pick up and helps take your mind off things for a bit.
