Man Seriously Injured In Late-Night Bognor Assault

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an assault in Bognor Regis.

Police officers driving along High Street spotted the 34-year-old victim lying in Sudley Gardens at around 11.30pm on Saturday, August 8.

People at the scene told officers that an assault had taken place following an altercation at a nearby address.

Police are now trying to trace a man described as around 6ft 2in tall, with short black hair, who was reportedly wearing a grey T-shirt and denim shorts.

Sussex Police said additional patrols have been deployed in the area while officers pursue several lines of enquiry.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward.

They are also seeking CCTV, mobile phone, doorbell or dashcam footage which may have captured the incident.
