Police are appealing for help to reunite a dog with his owner after a 'Labrador-type' dog was found alone on the Roedean undercliff.
Officers were called to the area at around 3pm on Wednesday, January 28, following reports that the dog had been discovered at the water’s edge with no sign of an owner nearby.
A full sea and land search was carried out as a precaution, and enquiries were made through the dog’s microchip. However, police say the owner has not yet been identified.
The dog is safe, and officers are now urging anyone who may be missing a Labrador — or who recognises the description — to get in touch.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police online or call 101, quoting reference 838 of 28/01.
