Sussex Students Celebrate A-Level Results Day

Students across Sussex are celebrating after receiving their A-Level, T-Level and BTec results.

Hundreds of thousands of young people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland received their grades on Thursday morning, with colleges across Sussex opening their doors from 8am.

Among those collecting results at Varndean College was Hettie Ainsworth, 18, who achieved an A* and two As in Politics, Classical Civilisation and English Language and Literature. She will now study International Relations at King's College London.

Connor Murphy, 18, secured an A* in Art and Design alongside two Bs in Politics and History and will head to Bristol to study History.

Tabitha Ellis, 18, achieved two As and an A* in her Extended Project Qualification and will begin an Art Foundation course at London Metropolitan University.

Tilly Lampard-Sawyer achieved three A*s and an A in her EPQ and will study Sociology with Media at the University of Sussex.

Maisie McQueen also secured three A*s alongside a B and will study Interior Architecture at the University of Brighton.

More results and celebrations are expected throughout the day as students across the county confirm their next steps.
