Three Taken To Hospital After Crash Involving Police Car In Eastbourne

Three people were taken to hospital after a head-on collision between a vehicle and a police car in Eastbourne.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Pevensey Bay Road at around 6.40pm on Thursday.

Sussex Police said the crash involved a Suzuki Wagon R and a marked police vehicle.

The driver of the Suzuki and two officers were taken to hospital with injuries.

A spokesperson confirmed:

“The driver remains in hospital undergoing medical treatment while the officers have since been discharged.”

Police have launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
