Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Sussex And Kent

A yellow warning for thunderstorms is in place across Kent, Surrey and West Sussex on Wednesday.
The Met Office warning runs from 03:00 until 22:00, with heavy showers and thunderstorms potentially causing surface water flooding and travel disruption.
Forecasters say many areas will avoid the worst of the weather, but where thunderstorms do develop they could be intense.
There is also a risk of large hail and frequent lightning, with storms expected to move northwards and ease during the evening.
Rainfall totals of 20 to 30 millimetres could fall in less than an hour in some places, while the worst-affected areas could see 40 to 50 millimetres over two to three hours.
The conditions could lead to difficult driving, delays to public transport and isolated power cuts.
People are being advised to check road conditions and bus and train timetables before travelling, and to consider changing plans if necessary.
The Met Office says anyone caught outside during a thunderstorm should seek shelter in an enclosed building or vehicle and avoid trees and other structures that could be struck by lightning.
