Do You Look Like Your Pet? Then This Competition's For You

Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare in Ringmer is running a ‘Do you look like your pet’ competition.

Entries to the competition will be open from January 9 until February 7 at 11.59 pm. The competition has been designed to encourage humans to celebrate their pet’s most endearing characteristics that they share with each other. It's also a great opportunity for people to get together and have some fun.

In order to enter, all you need is a webcam or phone camera, a good sense of humour and access to the internet. It couldn’t be simpler. Here are the steps:

  1. Take a photo of you, a friend or a family member with their lookalike pet

  2. Tag Raystede in your image on Facebook or Instagram. Remember to use the hashtag #LookALikeCompetition

  3. Make sure you’re following Raystede either on Instagram or Facebook. You can find their social media tags are the bottom of this article

If you don’t have social media, you can still get involved by submitting on their website using this link https://www.raystede.org/competition/ and filling in the short form.

After entries close at midnight on February 7, all submissions will be reviewed, and award-winning comedian and celebrity guest judge Zoe Lyons will choose a winner.

Zoe has been a long-standing supporter of Raystede’s work, so they say she was happy to get involved in this lighthearted way to spread the word about Raystede and the support they provide to thousands of animals.

Once a winner has been selected, they will be contacted by February 21, 2023, and the winning photo will be shared on Raystede’s social media accounts.

The prize up for grabs is a personalised pet portrait worth over £100. The winner can select the photo the portrait will be based on.

Entries are free, but all donations are always very much appreciated and go directly to helping their animals.

If you cannot get involved in this competition but would still like to show your support, you can donate to Raystede here - https://www.raystede.org/.
