Eastbourne Man Charged After Man Found Unconscious In Street

A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a man was found unconscious on the street in Eastbourne with serious head injuries.

Officers were called to Moatcroft Road, at the junction with Upperton Road just after midnight last Monday.

They found the 42-year-old victim, who was taken to the Royal Sussex Hospital in Brighton where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Michael Hall, 41, of Enys Road, Eastbourne, appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (1 September) charged with committing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

He was remanded in custody to appear at crown court for a hearing on 29 September.
