Two Arrested After Man Dies In A27 Collision

Two people have been arrested after a 25-year-old man was killed in a collision on the A27 late last night (Wednesday).

Police said a black Volkswagen Golf was travelling east towards Chichester on the A27 when it collided with the central reservation, at around 11.40pm.

The driver, a 25-year-old man from Havant, died at the scene.

The passenger, a 19-year-old man from Havant, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 20-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both from Havant, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and remained in police custody on Thursday afternoon.

Officers would like to hear from the driver of a Red Audi A3 who may be able to assist with the investigation.

The A27 at Chichester reopened at around 3.40pm on Thursday (February 11).
