A man has suffered a serious eye injury after being attacked in Horsham Park.
At about 11.30pm on Thursday (9), a 23 year old local man was walking through the park when he was attacked near the 'Kaya In The Park' cafe by two young men, described as being in the late teens or early twenties, wearing black tracksuits.
They punched and then kicked him as he lay on the ground, stealing his keys and mobile phone before making off.
He received hospital treatment for his injuries, including multiple fractures to an eye socket, which will require specialist treatment
Detective Constable, Charlotte Carter, said:
"This was a vicious attack and our enquiries are continuing. We believe there were also several other youths of similar age present.
"The cafe was still open at that time and had a number of customers.
