RNLI Called To Concern For Welfare In Hove

Crews from Brighton RNLI lifeboat were called to assist the police and HM Coastguard at Hove Lawn Beach this morning (Wednesday).

HM Coastguard received the call of concern for the welfare of a woman in the sea at 11am.

A HM Coastguard spokesperson said:

"At 11.09am today, Brighton ILB and Shoreham Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to assist Sussex Police and the South East Coast Ambulance at an incident at Hove Lawn Beach, Brighton."

The woman was taken ashore and left in the hands of the ambulance service.
