A report of concern for a person in Hastings tragically ended with a dead body being found on Wednesday night (Jan 11).
Hastings Police attended a property in Hollington Old Lane, St Leonards at 6.08pm following a report of concern for a person.
Sadly a local woman in her 50s was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
A 17-year-old-boy was arrested on suspicion of murder at the property and remains in custody at this time.
A spokesperson for Hastings Police said:
"The boy and the woman were known to each other and we are not seeking any one else in connection with the incident.
"We will remain at the property for the coming days and we thank local residents for their support as we carry out our investigation."
