Police are investigating two collisions involving the same vehicle in Horsham this morning (Thursday, 12), which led to two people being seriously injured. Officers initially received a report of a hit-and-run in Redkiln Way just after 11.40am. A blue Nissan Almera had reportedly collided with a van before making off from the scene, according to police. However, approximately five minutes later, police received reports of the same Nissan colliding with a black Audi SQ5 in nearby Forest Road. Police said the two occupants of the Nissan - the driver and a passenger - are currently being treated for serious injuries, while the van driver was taken to hospital with chest injuries. The occupants of the Audi reported minor injuries. Forest Road was closed following the incident, and road users are being advised to seek alternative routes for the foreseeable future. Anyone who witnessed either of the incidents, or saw any of the vehicles being driven in the area, is asked to email [email protected], quoting Operation Hayseed.
