A new £3 million programme designed to support children and families in Hastings is set to launch this September.
The initiative is a partnership between East Sussex County Council, local schools, community organisations and charity AllChild, and will initially focus on West St Leonards, St Helen’s, Baird and Ore.
The scheme aims to provide early support and personalised help for young people, with children taking part in tailored two-year programmes coordinated by dedicated Link Workers based in schools.
The programme will begin in six schools this year, with more expected to join in 2027.
East Sussex County Council says the long-term investment is intended to improve wellbeing, school attendance and outcomes for young people across the town.
