Police investigating reports of upskirting involving two teenage girls in Bexhill have released images of a man they would like to speak to.

Officers were called after one of the girls reported being followed and filmed while on her way to school at around 8am on 17 December.

She has since been receiving support from police.

It is alleged the man followed her along Turkey Road and into Gunter’s Lane, and officers believe other girls travelling to school in the area may also have been targeted.

Sussex Police say enquiries are ongoing and images have now been released as part of the investigation.

Detective Inspector Barry Chandler said:

“We have been carrying out extensive checks across the area and are taking this report extremely seriously.
“Officers have engaged with schools, and there have been increased patrols around schools in order to provide reassurance and deterrence.”

The man is described as wearing dark clothing, including a black puffer-style jacket and black or dark blue jogging bottoms.

Police are urging anyone who recognises the man, or who has any information that could help the investigation, to come forward.

Information can be reported to Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 273 of 17/12.
