Drink Drive Arrest After Vehicle Collides With Building In West Sussex

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car reportedly struck a building and a telephone box in Funtington, near Chichester.
Emergency crews were called to Common Road shortly after 10pm on Tuesday, 27 May.
Sussex Police say the vehicle collided with a property and a phone box, prompting a road closure.
One person was taken to St Richard’s Hospital for treatment, according to the ambulance service.
The driver sustained minor injuries and has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Police say the crash happened near the Watery Lane junction on the B2146.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters made the scene safe and confirmed the driver got out of the car before they arrived.
The road remains closed while highways teams carry out assessments.
A diversion is currently in place.
