Man Arrested After Death Following Incident at Haywards Heath Pub

Police have arrested a man after another man died following a reported assault at a pub in Haywards Heath.

Emergency services were called to The Heath Tavern on Sussex Road at around 10.50pm on Monday after concerns were raised for a man at the premises.

A 63-year-old man received treatment from paramedics and was taken to hospital in a serious condition, but he was sadly later pronounced dead.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.

Officers are investigating the full circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for information.
