Motorcyclist Dies In A272 Crash Near Kirdford

A 48-year-old motorcyclist from Billingshurst has died following a collision on the A272 near Kirdford.

His red Ducati collided with a green Vauxhall Frontera travelling in the same direction near the junction with Linfold Road at around 1.20pm on Saturday, 26th September.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

The 52-year-old woman driving the Vauxhall, from Horsham, was uninjured.

She was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drug-driving and driving without insurance, and has been released on bail until 14th December while enquiries continue.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of either vehicle shortly before the crash to get in touch.
