Unexploded Bomb Found On Selsey Beach

Parts of Medmerry Beach in Selsey, near Chichester, were temporarily cordoned off after an unexploded bomb was discovered on Thursday morning.

Sussex Police said they were assessing items believed to be smoke signals and small munition fragments.

The Selsey Coastguard confirmed that two controlled explosions were carried out, and the incident has now been stood down.

No injuries were reported, and the beach has since reopened to the public.
