Here's the latest update on coronavirus figures for Sussex, including the total number of cases, hospital deaths and deaths outside hospitals recorded.

As of Wednesday (January 6), the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases by Upper Tier Local Authority is:

Brighton and Hove: 8,672 - up 1,198 since last Wednesday
East Sussex: 18,288 - up 2,324 since last Wednesday
West Sussex: 22,620 - up 3,309 since last Wednesday

Sussex Total:  49,580 - up 6,861 since last Wednesday

The number of cases in several key areas of Sussex, and any change from last  Wednesday (December 30):

Eastbourne: 3,367 - up 546
Hastings: 4,115 - up 430
Lewes: 2,730 - up 403
Rother: 3,341- up 343

Horsham: 3,384 - up 451
Mid Sussex: 4,374 - up 513
Adur: 1,548 - up 210
Worthing: 2,600 - up 396
Arun: 4,043 - up 637
